F1 2012 Mods Dont Work?

Hi. I never updated my game.

I downloaded realistic mod and safety car fix and when i try to open the game it shows the codemasters logo and then closes without any error.

Do I need to download anything before start installing mods?

Please, help me. I really want to play this game with mods.

I will put my 2 cents for piracy,since you dont have the 12 patches.
But i might be wrong since if you install the game trough steam and disable the auto updates and run it in offline mode its possible to run it without any patch but whats the point of not patching a game which was complete chore without single patch.

First step: Update the game. If you can't do that, then you shouldn't be here.

Question is: why didn't you update the game? What's keeping you from doing so?

It'll be the updates. When a patch comes out a modder usually updates his work to make sure everything fits with the updates.

So it'll be a case of applying the updates (Might have to buy the game first )
