F1 2010 F1 2010 - Crash at login

I installed F1 2010 when it first came out and everything worked fine; I installed mods and everything ran without a hitch. However after a couple of weeks when I start the game (no steam) and it goes to the login screen (offline mode) the game crashes and my screen goes black, the computer then becomes un-responsive.

I have even re-installed windows 7 64bit (was running that previously) and then installed the game, but the problem still persists.

Would really appreciate any suggestions or anything to help, its really annoying me now!

mine did that for a short while but i just reinstalled the game and it has not missed a beat since. probably a couple of months ago now

running on 7 64bit

no fix suggestions but if anyone can help it will be the guys here
