Community Question | Your Steam Racing Sim Play Time

Sadly Steam doesn't count my time in GTL and GTR2 which would be top of the list. Of the also rans

PC2 385
Rf2 82
ACC 59
AC 50
AMS2 26
Race 07 24
AMS 19
RR 17

I really must give RR another go - not had my money's worth there - but a nice selection of cars and tracks.

That's a long list for me:

Assetto Corsa: 979 hours
rFactor 2: 369 hours
RaceRoom: 270 hours
Automobilista + Beta: 204 hours
Euro Truck Simulator 2: 188 hours
Project CARS 2: 108 hours
American Truck Simulator: 101 hours
Stock Car Extreme: 88 hours
Project CARS: 88 hours
Assetto Corsa Competizione: 51 hours
iRacing: 46 hours
Automobilista 2 + Beta: 34 hours
Dirt Rally: 28 hours
Race 07: 19 hours
Formula Truck 2013: 3 hours
Kartkraft: 114 minutes
Copa Petrobras de Marcas: 23 minutes (just checked it once, but never started it again since all the content is in GSCE and AMS 1)

All combined that makes 2578 hours or 107 days of simracing; Live for Speed, GT Legends and some other older non-steam sims not included.

Most racing sims can be found on the Steam platform, which offers some nice functionality to see just how addicted we are to our favourite titles... and I'd love to know how addicted to racing you really are!

Taking into account the Steam playtime on each of your games, tell us how much time Steam is saying you've spent in your favourite sim - and how little in your least favourite!

I'm looking forward to seeing your responses, and just how much of our precious free time we spend behind the virtual wheel!

Paul,
you are a genius. Its like sitting in a pub drinking beers with a bunch of pals and bragging about the usual stuff :-D

Looking at my numbers I'm more of a casual sim racer so it seems :O_o:

ETS2: 162 hours ('cuz trucking!)
Motorsport Manager: 149 hours (this actually surprised me!)
ACC: 128 hours (my go-to racing sim atm!)
PC2: 47 hours
Dirt 4: 42 hours
F1 2017: 21 hours
Mudrunner: 20 hours
PC1: 19 hours
GT Legends: 13 hours (hours only counted in Steam; WAAAAY more before I had in installed via Steam)
Dirt Rally: 12 hours
F1 2019: 4 hours
AC: 3 hours
RRRE: 3 hours (don't like their payment model, as is said by someone else before)
Ride 2: 104 minutes (why is it so hard to make bikes handle like they do IRL?!)

Assetto Corsa - 898
rFactor 2 - 619 (I think x2 before steam)
Race07 - 217 (I think x3 before steam)
Automobillista - 143
Assetto Corsa Competizione - 127
Spin Tires - 65
Project Cars 2 - 46
Mud Runner - 36
rFactor - 25 (I think x20 before steam)
ETS - 15
ATS - 8
Automobilista 2 - 5

354 hrs - Raceroom
326 hrs - Assetto Corsa
232 hrs - Automobilista
61 hrs - Dirt Rally
32 hrs - Assetto Corsa Competizione
28 hrs - Dirt Rally 2.0
0 hrs - kartkraft (bought it a few months ago but have been waiting for some more updates - and free time - before I give it a go)

The amount of hours I have on each game does not represent my favouritism. ACC and DR2 are actually the ones I'm enjoying the most at the moment but I started playing them very recently compared with the others.

All units are in hours:

1- Assetto Corsa= 76 000

2- rFactor 2= 37 000

3- AMS 1+2= 15 000

4- Raceroom= 14 000

5- Project Cars 1+2= 11 000

6- ACC= 10 000

7- Dirt 1 to 4 + Dirt Rally 1+2.0= 6 500

8- F1 2014 to 2019= 5 500

9- iRacing= 3 000

10- BeamNG.drive= 2 000

11- Euro TS2 and ATS= 1 000

12- Wreckfest= 700

13. WRC7+8= 120

14- KartKraft= 33

PS:
I didn't count GTR2, Race07, Grand Pris Legends, Nascar 2003 any any other important OLDER sim because I don't know where they belong, what series.
I forgot to count Bike/Motorcycle sims and I'm sorry bikes enthusiasts.

GUYS THIS ISN'T ME.

THIS IS THE TOTAL SUM OF HOURS SPENT FOR ALL THE GUYS WHO COMMENTED IN THE FIRST 4 PAGES OF COMMENTS ALL TOGETHER.

I DID THE CALCULATIONS AND IT TOOK ME HOURS.

(I didn't expect people to be interested in my statistics as much but here are mines:
AC: 500
rF2: 350
R3E: 350
pC2: 200
iR: 150
ACC: 60
F1 2019: 60
AMS1: 50
WRC7 + WRC8: 45
DR + DR2.0: 45
KartKraft: 5
Wreckfest: 5
ETS2: 5
Mudrunner: 5
City Car Driving:5
ATS:0
The last 2 years I had more free time than average and no much obligations like kids or so, so I decided to try every piece of sim and content and learn every track. The health is being worse and the interests shifting so I almost think those 1700 hour were just my sim racing boom).

OH that explains it! I was about to say those numbers are impossible for one person, short of leaving AC and RF2 running 24/7/365 since early access on different machines...and even then, they’re not old enough for those numbers :roflmao: (well RF2 is, but not AC)

Automobilista: 81
RF2 : 48
Race07: 24 (And a lot more before it came to steam)
PC: 24 (could have been more but my mouse reacts very strange in the menu screens)
RR: 6
GSCE: 3 (bought it just before Automobilista was launched)

GTR2 : Never on steam but probably in the thousands of hours since it was launched and I still play it a lot
