Cars Cinema 4d output to KSEDITOR

Hi all, I've managed to import my car into cinema4d for some minor edits of the model components, and haven't had much luck, it looks great in c4d but once i export kseditor sees it as a big old sloppy mess, and the textures don't align any more as if C4D doesn't truly set the texture positioning. How do you get CINEMA 4d to not touch the shader details that KSEDITOR depends on? Anyone else have experience going from C4D to KSEDITOR?
