This mod adds a working cassette tapes. You can put music on them.

Features:

• Play, rewind, eject cassettes
• Works only with boombox (support for radio in cars will be added later)
• After eject cassette, music position is saved and will play where you end.
• There is small freeze when you first put cassette in player (second time you put the same cassette it will load instant)...

If you bought CD player then yes, but there is also stock (non-cd) radio for satsuma, this will be used for cassettes.

Ya i would use this if i can use it in the car. Hitting that stupid button every single time i load the game to load music is a pain.

piotrulos please add suport for the car radio. I can't wait, this mod is fantastic.

It's comming soon, satsuma has a lot of variables in radio (there can be cd-player, stock radio, stock speakers, aftermarket speakers) so it's more complex than boombox which is only single object.
Actually I got it work in satsuma, but there is some problems to solve, for example when turning volume up/down the radio stream goes back on, and sound from cassette and radio is mixed together.

That's also an idea for separate mod, but cd player is only in satsuma. Cassette player is everywhere (if we imagine that stock car radio is cassette player )

based on game timeframe (1995) cd players in boombox was not common and expensive. I think after 2000 the radio + cassette + cd boombox was more common

You need to have basic knowledge of unity engine and good knowlegde of c#. Everything is on MSCLoader wiki

Satsuma is hell, too many possible radio configurations (actually 3 ) But everything looks almost working, missing only eject button on radio, car radios will be auto-play and "auto-reverse" so cassette will play in loop (like IRL car cassette players)

What's new:

• Cassettes are now saved when you "save and quit", remember to eject cassette from player before save, or it will be respawned in home. (if you somehow lost cassettes, delete file Mods\Config\CassetteTapes\cassettes.save)
  
• Added support for cars, radio in cars will play cassette in loop (like Auto-Reverse feature).
  
• Support in satsuma for aftermarket speakers
• Added fast forward to boombox
• There is small difference between...
