Career progression - what happens to the driver you replace?

Discussion in 'F1 2010 - The Game' started by F1 2011 Rocks!, May 9, 2011.

  1. For example, if you move from one team to McLaren, does Button or Hamilton cease to exist in F1? That's not really an acceptable situation if so, and F1 2011 should have proper movement between teams for all drivers, not just the player.

  2. If we can assume that button or hamie were kicked off their team, they MIGHT be picked up by one of the lower teams, something hamilton and button probably wouldnt accept. All the teams have contracts and agreements in place with other drivers. You cant just kick someone off like that cuz its hamie or button, its bad for business, and shows future f1 drivers what kind of team you have.

Also, rather than be in a possibly non race winning car, id say those drivers would sit it out, rather than tarnish their record, but who knows.

  3. In F1 2010 they just disappear, and due to the license drivers are not allowed to change teams.

  4. That's bloody stupid - licences can be so precious about this sort of thing!
