Im using fedora 13 and racer 0.5.4beta1-english (loki installer), and I cannot run the game. Im receiving this error message:

./racer.bin: error while loading shared libraries:  /usr/local/games/racer/lib/libfmodex.so: cannot restore segment prot  after reloc: Permission denied

SELinux is showing this error message:

acesse o /usr/local/games/racer/lib/libfmodex.so.

SELinux denied access requested by /usr/local/games/racer/racer.bin.
/usr/local/games/racer/racer.bin is mislabeled. /usr/local/games/racer/racer.bin
default SELinux type is usr_t, but its current type is usr_t. Changing this file
back to the default type, may fix your problem.

If you believe this is a bug, please file a bug report against this package.

Permitindo acesso:

You can restore the default system context to this file by executing the
restorecon command. restorecon '/usr/local/games/racer/racer.bin'.

Comando de correção:

/sbin/restorecon '/usr/local/games/racer/racer.bin'

great... no descent support for linux, even source code isnt available...


wine per wine I play live for speed..

There is no need for support for Linux currently. The game runs 100% perfectly with Wine, trust me, that's how I run it. And it's also not technically "open source", so that's hardly a shock..

And also, LFS's graphics aren't very good, the content is limited, it's not free..........etc!
