If you get acceleration force on the G meter before the apex point, the car understeer regardless of your input. The point is to only carry deceleration force before reaching the apex, while you remain on the racing line.
It's an efficient method.
When you bomb dive, it's 60% brake & 40% steering. You use the brake pressure to make the car turn.
