Big error at startup

Hi, I hope it's OK to post my problem here.

I never knew about btb, can't wait to try it out as I've always wanted to build my own tracks.... And with btb this seems amazingly easy to do

Anyway, atached is the startup error message + two system screenshots. I don't have problems with any other 3D or imaging software. I wanted to try it with RBR.

It crashes upon startup. What's the matter?

Make sure you have met the Prerequisites.
Windows XP (32 bit)
A shaders 2.0 capable video card
The latest DirectX drivers. Note: there are several version of 9.0c, get the latest ones! Download them again just in case. Be aware, DirectX 10 does NOT contain DirectX 9; it must be installed independantly.
Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 (it will be downloaded during the installation process if it's not already installed)

It runs on Vista and Windows 7 but only XP is supported by Brendon

Thanks for the replies,

As far as I know I do meet all requirements (see screenshot 2 and 3, showing information)
Looking at the error message it looks more like there are files missing rather than versions incompatible.

Did you installed latest directx what was released feb. 2010?

Hm, I thought I did.. At least a few months ago... Anyway it works now!

Aren't newbies (like me) a real pain in the @$$ :wink:
