I've been driving with the AI a lot lately in rFactor, just trying to get used to driving in traffic, as well as work my way through the wonderfully well structured career mode in some of the stock content. 
I've tweaked the AI in my .plr file for track learning, and I'm currently racing with 105% AI strength, and 25% aggression. However I'm left with a peculiar arrangement whereby I get slaughtered in every qualifying session, but somehow I finish every race in first place quite easily, just working my way all the way up the pack with plenty of time to spare. I imagine it is possible that I work better under race conditions than hotlapping, but this seems a bit extreme.
Is there some way I can either speed up the AI during a race, or slow them down during qualifying without affecting the other?
