Welcome to the central place to discuss the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix here at RaceDepartment.
Getting ready for one final push before the mid-season summer break, the Formula One circus heads to the dusty and twisting Hungaroring in Budapest for the 11th round of the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship.
On a run of good form following his home victory last time out, Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes team will be looking to once again put pressure on Ferrari in Hungary, with a championship lead at stake heading into the enforced summer break for the Grand Prix paddock.
Historically Mercedes have always performed strongly in Hungary, something that is expected to continue this weekend as Hamilton looks to build on his recent run of form.
For their part Ferrari should remain in the mix in race conditions at least, and with the historic tyre wear advantages of the red cars (Silverstone aside) the fight at the front of the field should once again be a close run affair.
Throw into the mix a Red Bull squad hopeful of performing strongly on a circuit not known for lending reliance to ultimate top speed, and the ingredients look all set for a fascinating race weekend in store.
