He's tied with the record for most poles in a season isn't he?

Correct he's now tied with Mansell's record (of course Mansell did it in less races). But to Vettel's credit, Mansell had less competition the year he set the record in 1992. The 2011 McLaren boys are no slouches. They both set fast laps today in Q3. Vettel was just faster.

And he was watching the screens also. Very cool cam. Its a shame we dont have many cool cams in F1.
Is ages ago we saw a foot cam or something like that. You would expect more from the biggest racing series. :)

Btw Massa again 1.2 second from pole and 0.500 from Alonso.
Ferrari is going to regret they keep him for another year.

I think there should be an asterisk that says mansell did it in 16 races and not 19.

When I last checked the F1 records on Wikipedia, they have records for the number of poles and the percentage of poles in a season. While Vettel may nab Mansell's poles, he won't get the percentage from him this season.

Mansell had 14 poles out of 16 races: 88%
Vettel currently has 14 poles out of 19 races: 74%
If Vettel gets a pole in Brazil: 79%

A couple bits of news.

The first DRS zone has been extended by approx 75m to aid overtaking.

The FIA have said that anyone who cuts the chicane at turn 9 will be referred to the stewards immediately.

First thing they can do is have onboard cameras for all cars.

Hoping for an exciting performance from the McLarens, they've been stronger here than India.
