Sunday August 21 the city center of Rotterdam was closed for the seventh edition of Bavaria City Racing Rotterdam. Various F1 teams and other international classes raced right in the middle of the centre of the second largest harbour in the world. Topdrivers and teams of Formula 1 raced in Rotterdam. Marc Gené, former Formula 1 driver and current testdriver of Ferrari drove the Scuderia through the streets of Rotterdam. Gené competed in 36 F1 races and gained 5 points. In 2009 the Spanish driver won the 24 hours of Le Mans, his greatest triumph. Mercedes GP Petronas was the other F1 topteam present in Rotterdam. One of the exciting new talents of British motorsport, Sam Bird, showed with the Mercedes how big his driving skills are. The demonstration of Formula 1 were covered with 12 cameras and a helicopter. In the summary there will be a lot of spectacular shots from the cars racing across bridges, through the city centre with the beautiful skyline of Rotterdam in the background. This demo surely produced a lot of beautiful and memorable images!
