I have updated the conversations with your sponsor choices. Current funds are now up-to-date. (Already signed contract salaries have been deducted from the funds already too)

Now we are waiting for @Jack Hunsley and @oldwolf to choose their sponsors and then we can get the bidding underway :)

The bidding for drivers, engine and tyres is now open!

Note! Each manager should read this post thoroughly BEFORE making their bids.

How the bidding works:

Every item (driver/engine/tyre) has a minimum salary/price that has to be met. Each team must make at least three offers for each driver seat including annual salary/price and length of the contract. Offered contract length can be 1-3 years (only 1 year for pay-drivers).
The bids can be made publicly in this thread or via PM if a manager doesn't wish other managers to see his/hers offers.

When all teams have made their bids (or deadline for bids has passed) the game moderator calculates which team's offer a driver/supplier chooses.
So it doesn't matter whether you are the first or the last team to make your bids, as long as you make them before the deadline.

Important notes:
- It is advised to make more than three offers per item, especially if bidding for potentially popular items to ensure at least one driver/supplier accepts your contract offer. There is no limit on how many offers can be made.

- When bidding for any item each manager should place their preferred choice on top of their list.

- The highest bidder doesn't always win the bidding contest! There are other factors, including team status, that affect which team's offer an item chooses.

Example bid:

(rank - driver name - offered salary - offered contract length)
Driver 1
1. Mika Häkkinen 5000cr – 2 years
2. David Coulthard 3500cr – 2 years
3. Damon Hill 4000cr – 1 year
4. Pedro de la Rosa 2000cr - 1 year

Driver 2
1. David Coulthard 3000cr - 3 years
2. Eddie Irvine 3000cr – 2 years
3. Damon Hill 3000cr – 1 year
4. Pedro de la Rosa 1400cr – 2 years
5. Jean Alesi 2200cr – 3 years
6. Toranosuke Takagi pay 150cr/race - 1 year *

Engine
1. Cosworth 5500cr – 3 years
2. Mugen-Honda 5000cr – 3 years
3. Mercedes 6000cr – 1 year

Tyres
1. Michelin 3000cr – 2 years
2. Bridgestone 3200cr – 3 years

* Pay-drivers pay for their seat before each race. Each pay-driver has a maximum money he can afford to pay per race. Pay-drivers can be signed only for 1 year at a time.

AVAILABLE DRIVERS

Below you will find the list containing all available drivers, their nationality, age and minimum salary. Offering more than the minimum salary understandably increases the chance a driver accepts your offer.

Drivers who are ready to pay for their seat have a negative salary (marked in red). Their salary denotes the maximum money they can pay per race. Asking pay-drivers to pay less or offering them proper salary undesrstandably increases the chance a driver accepts your offer.

Note! Only Team Rebaque can bid for Hector Rebaque.

AVAILABLE ENGINES AND TYRES

Below you will find the list containing all available engine and tyre suppliers and their minimum salary. Offering more than the minimum salary undesrstandably increases the chance a supplier accepts your offer IF there is competition for it.

NOTE! Ferrari, Renault & Alfa Romeo DO NOT have to bid for engine

MATRA ANNOUNCEMENT
Following a difficult 1979 season supplying the Ligier and Wolf teams with the 1978-spec engine, the French engine manufacturer Matra is back in Formula 1 with full factory backing. The engineers at Vélizy-Villacoublay factory spent the whole 1979 year developing the new engine, badged as Matra MS80. Matra is prepared to supply only one team, Ligier, with the new engines and are proud to continue their long association with the French team.

e. To make it clear, other manufacturers have developed their engines too :)

Cool

There are three teams available now and as Costello was the first to reply I'll give him the chance to manage Renault if he wants to. ATS and Osella are also available. Just reply which team you want and we'll get going!

First of all I'd suggest you to read through the rules and regulations in the first two posts. It might seem a lot and complicated but in the end it's very easy to manage a team. :)
