The new F1 Manager release is seemingly on the way soon, with a reveal set for 12th March.

This will be a continuation of the Cambridge-based Frontier Developments’ deal with the sport to create management titles. This is thought to run until 2025 in its current form.

After an intriguing start in 2022, last year’s F1 Manager 2023 built upon those foundations with features such as being able to save mid-session and, via a post-release update, swapping teams within the same career progression.

Apart from the live-service Race Replay mode, it did not, however, deliver a game-changing new feature. Perhaps consequently, sales were below the 2022 release.

“Revenue from the F1 Manager Franchise reduced 34% from H1 FY23 to H1 FY24 through lower sales of F1 Manager 2023 compared with F1 Manager 2022,” explained a recent Frontier financial report.

A solitary teaser image has been shared on social media with the ‘12.03.2024’ date. An obscured view of what seems to be a Formula 1 car is on display.

Is it just us, or is the livery unlike anything seen on the real-world grid? Could this be the year when creating your own team will become an option?

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, it could also simply be a ‘generic’ car rendering for an upcoming trailer. Confirmation is expected in a matter of days.

Ah yes, time for the yearly roster update.

Except in the case of F1 this season, it's more of a livery and team name update.
