The build-up continues for American Truck Simulator’s next downloadable content expansion – Nebraska.
Following the release of Kansas in late 2023, nearly 20 minutes of Nebraskan gameplay has been published by developer SCS Software as it gears up for the next addition.
Here, the Western Star truck sets off from Valentine, past a roadside car crash being attended to, and across some undulations then vast farming plains.
Heading along the transcontinental freeway Interstate 80, with detailed road textures, the footage arrives at North Platte. The just-west-of-central city is known within the Cornhusker State for its railroad links.
It is filled, here with gas stations and fast food joints, before the arrival an at agricultural facility littered with crunchy gravel tracks and cows.
The footage follows a recent image dump of the I-80 and earlier this year, a brief look at the various truck stop types littered across the region.
At the start of this month, an optional experimental beta was launched for the upcoming 1.50 update, which will include a refreshed California once complete alongside quality-of-life enhancements such as temporal anti-aliasing, a flatter user interface design, an updated International LT and lane assist.
While you can wishlist the DLC on Steam, no release date has been provided. The footage is clearly marked as not final, but the publication of gameplay footage hints at a potentially imminent launch. SCS is also working on an Arkansas expansion for the now-eight-year-old sim.
