Reiza Studios has updated Automobilista 2 to version 1.3.8.3 this week, and the latest patch brings significant updates to many existing cars.
A number of smaller updates to Automobilista 2 have been released since their major monthly update 10 days ago which brought the title to version 1.3.8.x. The current phase of development is focused primarily on setting a firm foundation of physics for what we expect to be a busy second half of 2022 on the content front.
Version 1.3.8.3 was released to Steam over the weekend, and this update gives players more than expected from a complementary patch.
Among the changes are physics overhauls to the Lancer Cup, TSI Cup, Opala 79, Copa Fusca and Copa Uno cars. The Opala 79 is a car commonly brought up in the "best sim cars you've never tried" discussion, and these updates should further enhance its standing in that category.
Also in the changelog, Reiza describes that further tire revisions were applied to many of the open wheel offerings in AMS2. These cars have been gaining popularity throughout the year, and are perhaps the best showcase of the recent physics updates in the title.
Players enjoying the new Argentinian tracks that were added this month as a free update also got some good news, as these three new circuits have been given real weather data.
Below is the changelog for version 1.3.8.3. Be sure to let us know your thoughts on this update, or anything else Automobilista 2 related in the comments below.
