With just one week separating the Mexican Grand Prix and this week's Brazilian Grand Prix, here is everything you need to look out for this weekend.

Home Race Horror Show

Just one week ago, the whole country of Mexico eagerly awaited the start of the Mexican Grand Prix weekend. Hopes were high for the homegrown talent, Sergio Perez. Like his 2023 season, however, it all went wrong very quickly. Mexico was what many considered, his final opportunity. Red Bull has a history of dismissing drivers with and without justified reasoning. Consequently, this paints a big red target on the 33-year-old's back. This weekend at Interlagos is critical for his future in the sport.

Max Verstappen has finished ahead of Perez by over 15 seconds at 9 of the last 12 races they’ve both finished. That statistic alone shows the class of his own that Verstappen has graduated into over the past year. Perez is not a slow driver, nor inexperienced. The task of playing second driver to a competitor like Max Verstappen has broken every teammate the Dutchman has had since joining Formula One in 2015.

Everyone Loves Brazil

So why is the Brazilian Grand Prix one of the most anticipated races on the calendar? The infamous 2008 showdown that cost Felipe Massa his first chance at a world title is by far the most famous. In 2012, championship leader Sebastien Vettel was taken out and had to come back through the pack to win and claim his third driver's world championship. 2021 saw Lewis Hamilton come from the very rear of the field to win in a dominant showing of what the W12 was capable of.

The Brazilian Grand Prix is held in high esteem with a lot of Formula One fans. Brazil has this magic that Formula One capitalises on. The layout is iconic with the same venue being used as far back as 1972. George Russell was last year's winner, who do you think will take the top spot this year? Let us know in the poll above!

he still seems frustrated but if you are a real leader and want to demotivate your staff........ Toto now lowers himself for the second time.
Horner had him right when he claimed Toto had never had it hard, he was given a top team and all that goes with it,
It was all roses for years, while the Red Bull team started as a cast off and had to work for wins, they had some good years with the Vettel era but dropped away, and in all that time I never heard Horner demoralize his team.

I am amazed how people love to assume that if someone didn't eat sh!t somewhere along the way they are somehow undeserving of the things and opportunities they have. So Toto didn't have to "struggle" like Horner, does that mean that since Lewis had to eat sh!t as a kid because of racist Brits, that he takes fulfills the requirement for anyone with Merc?

Toto got what he got. I don't care if he wasn't sucking fumes like Horner swears he did for years, Toto won 7 straight years. Even if someone hands you the keys, you still have to execute.

Horner is just as much a whinny-assed biotch as Toto. And as I recall Horner, wasn't the greatest person to be around after Red Bull stopped winning consecutive championships with Vettel.

Is he? In all those years when RB was not winning during the Merc domination, i never heard Horner come out publicly and say the car was a shitbox, etc etc. He wouldnt demoralize his team like that. Horner also was the guy who convinced Newey to join the team, so he BUILT the winning team that is in place, something Toto didn't. Those are key differences in their history as TPs.

And please, spare us all the Lewis fantasy "struggle". I am sure he cried on his pillow about his bankrolled career since his very young age...

I submit that the comment "demoralize his team" you typed shows that you have never been a team at any level other than playground. Anyone who has been on competitive teams will tell you that the coach says worse things than "sh1tbox" about bad performances. He spoke the truth. Compared to their efforts before, the car is a POS. And anyone on that team who can't take the criticism, needs to find another job.

The car's lack of performance is in the public eye. Should he gloss it over so people on the team don't have their feelings hurt? They didn't deliver. If more people in every profession were called out publicly about their "shitbox" performances, maybe the world would be better.

Ahhh...........love getting on the old soapbox.

you know... since Niki Lauda is no longer alive, Mercedes is a mess with two toddlers crying the loudest.

and supporting Russel a little more would also make a difference instead of always putting their golden boy in the foreground. Yesterday Russel was faster in the race than Hamilton and yet he was not allowed to pass. Stupid if you ask me because it was Sainz who was able to easily overtake both

What makes you think Sainz wouldn't have passed them both no matter what order they were in ? The car is a "sh!box" :D

If anybody should "take criticism" is Wolff himself. It's under HIS leadership that this team dropped the ball and is going from bad to worse. He is not a "coach", he is a team principal, and he is not talking to the team inside his "Locker room", he is saying this loud and clear on TV. Until he can build a team from scratch, or get Mercedes back to it's winning ways, he has a LOT to prove compared with Horner. It's not about feelings, its about owning it and have a constructive aproach, rather than pretending to be some glorified hollywood grumpy coach with anger management issues.
