Two questions Alex:

1) How did you interface your shifter to the CSW base?

2) Which wheel do you prefer using? The formula wheel or the BMW wheel? I have the BMW wheel only and wonder if it's worth pulling out another filtering organ and getting the formula wheel

Hi mate

I just wired it into a PS2 cable, it's only 3 wires for the shifter.

I like the BMW rim - but both are good. The Formula rim feels tiny compared, so a bit odd when switching between the two.

And an added bonus which I didn't realise, all the panels had precut holes to mount a G27 kit. So now its rigid and going nowhere

Also I have to watch what can go in an X51. It can't crossfire and the best card it will handle (watts) is a GTX 670

the 7970 won't use more then 200w , providing you have a 750W PSU? you should be ok.

Such a shame to destroy and super cool looking unit but I'm considering ripping the mobo out and putting it in full size tower with it's own PSU unit rather the power brick that comes with the X51
