Vero Nome: Real Drivers for Assetto Corsa
Vero Nome is a W.I.P. mod that aims to add historically-accurate driver names to the vehicles of Assetto Corsa. This is achieved by simply editing the ui_skin.json file associated with each skin to include accurate driver names, nationalities, and team names.
Installation: Simply download and extract the .7z file to the assettocorsa\mods directory and activate Vero Nome for AC.

Vero Nome currently includes accurate driver names, curated from historical competitions, for the following vehicles:

Audi TT Cup: 2016 Audi TT Cup

Note: Although drivers are selected based on historical championship standings, ui_skin files in AC contain no individual attribute data. Consequently, Vero Nome driver performance in Assetto Corsa is likely to be quite different from the historical record.
Also, if the number of opponents selected is greater than the number of skins (for a given vehicle), the grid will be populated by Vero Nome drivers first, with Kunos fictional drivers filling the remaining spots.
Vero Nome is a long-term, ongoing project for both Kunos content as well as many numerous mods that currently lack accurate driver names. To help provide meaningful direction to this ambitious endeavor, feel free to use the Discussion forum to request real drivers for popular vehicles or mods within AC.
