I want to to thank @Johannes Steiger for letting me use his Monza Trees that with modifications worked great and Yokai for helping me with some optimizations.

I have been working on the Nordschleife track and have added about 17000 3d trees to it. Since the track is mostly driven through the forest, I have decided not to remove the old trees as every bit of vegetation helps with the immersion. (with the latest version most of the 2d models have been removed especially near the track)
I have watched the current videos of the track frame by frame and tried to be as precise as possible with the tree placements. however since the original tree placements were wrong or missing in quite a few places it is not perfect.
You will need:
- CSP 1.79 or higher
- ks_nordschleife track
Backup: Please Backup the track before modifying it in case you have any problems.
Performance:
Obviously when you are adding that many trees to the track there is going to be some FPS drops, however I would still recommend to go ahead and start with installing the High preset trying it out and then moving down on lower presets overwriting the files and finding the sweet spot.
If you want better LOD's and less trees you can also copy the tree.txt file from the preset you want and replace it in another one.
Presets:
There is presets with 17000 trees and high Level of Detail all the way down to 1250 trees and low LOD's.
There is presets for normal and VR, I would really suggest that anyone using VR uses the VR presets as they look much better in game.
Installation:
Unzip the file, choose a preset, open it and drag the "content" folder into your main \assettocorsa folder
Other mods:
If you are using any other MODs for your track you can include them in the ext_config.ini file in the /tracks/ks_nordschleife/extension for example
If you are using the pyyer additions to the track you need to add this to your ext_config.ini after installing the 3d trees mod :
[INCLUDE: ext_config-pyyer-nordshleife.ini]
ACTIVE = 1

Sharp edges on leaves, you make a good point. I will experiment with blurring the textures to see if it fixes anything.
I have been working On and OFF on an update anyways, removing more Kunos 2d trees, fixing placements to look more like original, resizing etc.
So I till try to address these points where I can. Thanks for the review!
