About:

The CTMP Driver Development Track (DDT) is a 2.88-kilometer, advanced driver training facility in Bowmanville, Ontario. Located adjacent to the historic Grand Prix track, it was designed specifically with fewer guard rails, walls and minimum blind corners to allow for better driver training programs.

No races are held on this layout of CTMP, no crowds or paddock like atmosphere, but it is quite popular for track day activities, corporate events and vehicle demonstrations.

The 3D model is based on the track's 2021 specifications, built on accurate aerial LiDAR data. Similar process I used to build the Grand Prix track. This is considered version 0.9, as I intend on doing a revision and a few improvements in a few months,

Slower cars recommended for a better experience!

This is a great track, its great to see mot Canadian tracks come to assetto Corsa. and although the park has its own dedicated karting track this acts perfectly to race them on. great mod. only 5 out of 5 as the cones cant get hit :)
Really really really great work on this! The track is absolutely spot on and all the little tiny elevation changes and braking markers are there as in real life. The only minor nitpick is that most of the inside curbs are a bit too narrow - they are a bit wider in real life. Also, any chance of removing the orange cone barriers and allow us to drive in the paddock area in a future update (for the full track day experience)?

Thanks for the review! Unfortunately, as this was commissioned work, there won't be any further layout updates.
Really Great!!! Thanks
Great work! Awesome to see more Canadian content.
Thanks so much for doing this, love having Toronto area tracks I can practice on before I actually visit.
loving it!!!!
I could not believe my eyes when I discovered that you actually created the DDT! I am flabbergasted and thrilled! And there is no one I'd rather see working on this circuit than you, dude.

I had the chance to do three laps here on Labour Day weekend in 2019 in a 911 GT3, the event coordinator's (GTA Exotics) best car that day, apparently, since their Ariel Atom turbo wasn't running.

The trackday event had pylon chicanes throughout the circuit to limit speed and danger to noobs, but this.. IS.. the circuit! From the wide, tricky first right-hander to the last right-left uphill kink, this takes me right back there, and answers my question about what it would feel like to run the DDT without the chicanes.

I can finally count myself among those who are fortunate enough to have a circuit in a sim that they have actually driven. Amazing, John; I cannot thank you enough.
Top notch work! Very accurate representation of the real track!
Just like the real thing. Thank you so much!!
Amazing tight track. Perfectly executed. Kudos!
Amazing work as always John. Hope to see you do more Canadian tracks. Like Toronto Motorsports Park, Shannonville, and Grand Bend Motorplex some day. A friend of mine would love to see that as well.
Very good track. The road feel is great, it is a blast in a small car, the level of detail for the environnement is surprisingly good for this kind of track, AI is decent... Really, all boxes checked ! 5 out of 5
Great small track! Thanks for making AC even better!
You are a LEGEND! Very happy to have another Canadian circuit and I continue to be amazed by the quality of your work! I am having so much fun around here in TCR and M235i cups. Track limits seem perfect, the grass doesn't have any weird slowdown like a lot of mods do and you can't get away with cutting. AI are honestly quite quick around here with a really good line and make offline track day good fun.

Some things I appreciate is that the pit limiter ends on a straight rather than before or during the right turn, the added cones for reference markers and the digital signboard at the start/finish is a unique addition I've never seen before.

As a first revision, I am thoroughly impressed. With a full grid I get very high FPS. I see the addition for many layouts are present and hopefully come in the future. The scenery looks good as is, but the extension uploaded on RD makes it even better. I don't know the IRL limit of pit boxes, but personally I hope for closer to 30. Hoping for Toronto Motorsports Park and/or Shannonville one day!
Once you get to know the track with the right car, the flow of this layout is pure joy, those double apex with subtle elevation change are exhilarating. Thousand thanks for bringing it to AC, very well done, can't wait for the definitive version.
