Absolutely an epic track to enjoy pure driving!!
I suggest heading down this road with friends or anyone online, you will definitely enjoy more of the epic experience.

Amazing map. So many great views as you round the next corner. I enjoyed it so much I ended up paying for the VIP even though I mostly play offline, just to support this great work! Playing this in 2-way traffic is SO immersive.

Super long track, i have the free version and the amount of work put into this is impressiv to say the least. I am having a fun driving, just trying cars on this track and not many tracks gives me this simple but pure type of fun. Great job on this mod, truly unique!

Thanks Laurent... Yeah almost 3 years work, but it was worth it, as the real life roads are pretty epic, real drivers roads!

Thank you for all you efforts and passion, this road is amazing, in VR it is most likely the closest we will be to experience to actually driving there. Arguably the best, most real, AC road available to us. I hope other will take example of what you did and either improve what they already did or come up with more real roads for us to drive on. Thank you for leading the pack.

Impressive in size, original in intention, superb in execution. Please accept my humble tribute via paypal after I typed this in, life without access to the locked 70+ km of content is possible, but meaningless.

Looks especially great in the hours of dusk and dawn, adds to the visual realism by covering comnp0uter-typical repetitiveness of distant scenery - LOOKS ALMOST REAL THAT WAY.

One irritation, though: the AI traffic in the two track versions with AI traffic forward or reverse, seems to be seriously broken!? Cars end up after shoprt time standing still on the middle line, or getting caught by driving into alreadey standing cars.

And now I head over to paypal.

Any issues with the AI aren't related to the track... It's a known issue with a feature of content manager... Called AI Flood.

Either disable AI Flood in CM's settings... or just use a few (maybe 5) different AI, using different car models... And AI Flood will spawn and despawn endless traffic around your car!

We have some other really cool roads near by too like Little Tujunga Canyon. Really tight and technical almost tarmac rally stage like strip of road. Spunky canyon above it is also really amazing too, similar but less abrasive surface and more flowly on camber corners. Malibu canyons also super fun. If you ever have the urge to recreate those let me know.

Thanks for the support Rene. You're extremely lucky to live near these awesome roads... Really glad you're finding it really accurate, seeing as i'm over 5,400 miles away that's great to know!

I now have, and Ben has, loads of Californian / U.S assets... So other roads will be a definite possibility. Plenty of other Californian roads are on my radar ;)

I got pointed this direction by the VR sim community, played some of the normal version, and recently sent you a little support as thanks for the incredible hard work.

Anyone reading this who may be on the fence: as a Southern Californian who has actually driven on these roads, what has been accomplished here is nothing short of breathtaking and even in the normal version, there are tons of incredible little secrets and side-paths to find. A huge number of real-world locations have been recreated here, and anything from a leisurely drive to a point-to-point sprint are incredible fun, especially in VR if you can manage it.

Highly recommended addon for AC!

Absolutely brilliant!! Thank you. Where can I find instructions on how to use the pursuit mode? I drive around but never get pursued!

Thanks Burnercan, the Pursuit layout is a 'Online Layout' as is notified on the layout preview image.

Any layouts with 'Online Layout' are for Server / Practice use only.

There are text documents in ALL layout folders, giving more info, for server admins (pit box number / locations) etc

Also refer to the 'Layout Guide' this lists all layouts which support AI use.

Great track with lots of details. Got the paid VIP version as well. I really don't understand the 1 star review from people who lack the ability to follow step by step instructions. That rating should be applied to the reviewer's own ability to follow directions.

This course is fantastic. Put on some tunes and just cruise. I am just starting out in sim racing and I don't have the skills to race yet so this is a wonderful track for learning fundamental driving skills on a sim without the whole "gotta go fast" thing floating over your head when you're on an actual race track.

It's also good for getting the feel for cars too. I am learning how the Testarossa feels using this track as it's my favorite car of all time and racing game royalty. Really helping get to grips with how it handles. Thanks a ton for making this :)

Cheers Whoozwah, great way of using these roads... and the Testarossa is a great car choice.
As you say it's a great way of increasing your car control skills, especially as Race Tracks have no centreline to make the 'track' half the width... For an additional challenge!

Already such a great map! Thank you (and Benny) for already so much time spend on this. Love this map for freeroam, just some relax cruising around and up the mountains :)including the Extra roads. It's epic with using VR (I'm using Oculus Rift) to look up and down the road while driving. You can see how steep roads really are with VR :P

Thanks Donysius, yeah I'd love to try it in VR... I'm sure you get a truer sense of how high some of those mountains really are.
Some of those 6,200ft peaks must look huge.

Finally got around to checking this out...great F'in job. I love it, I liked Lake Louis but this has just an incomparable combo of 4th, 3rd to 2nd curves, that is just so satisfying. It really brings all of the road cars to life. The slides on this track in all the road cars are really fun, slides on a track made for race cars never worked for me. Runs and looks great in vr too. Great job, I'll buy you a coffee in a few days and check out the rest. Thanks : )

Thanks for the great in depth review, these roads certainly flow well. I don't think I found any car that doesn't like these roads, during testing. Great that you're also getting great performance in VR :)

Absolutely epic track. I like the side roads with parking areas scattered around the map. Using SOL to set the time of day to sunset or sunrise and using a drone camera mod to explore I can get some really nice footage. The landscape really is above and beyond expectations.

Using this with CSP, graphically the best map i've seen, the attention to detail is fantastic. It's a great map to drive too with lots of long fast sweeping bends. Another happy VIP supporter (I paid for Silver access to get the 2 way traffic but was so impressed i bought Platinum a short time later).

This crazy wonder doesn't end in the main mod. The VIP content is full of incredible details spread over several fascinating roads, a dam, bridges, parking lots, campgrounds, a small town and a gymkhana circuit among others. Thank you for giving us this jewel!
