Fixed the bad weather slider because it was changing brightness even at normal conditions. Couple other small adjustments.
I just have a quick question for you guys about the custom sliders on the PP tab (pure config)
As far as I know, there is no way to post poll voting on this website so this is what we gonna do. I need everyone to please react to this update with a Like;

• Hit Thumbs up if you know of the custom sliders.
• Hit WOW if you do not know about it.
1) Added custom groundfog shader settings that is dynamically adjusted between, day and night and when the sun is in the camera. groundfog is more visible and has better colors compared to other filters.
2) Adjusted the bad weather brightness a little. Slider works better too under PP tab in pure config.
3) Less orange colors during sunset.

HOTFIX. There was a misspell in the code causing a black screen.

So I just learned that I can not adjust the settings for the lightning shaders. Everyone needs to set this themselves.

Shaders.lightning.speed 0.900
shaders.lightning.discharge_ionisation 1.000
shaders.lightning.bounced_light 1.500

This is made for a more realistic, powerful but not too crazy lightning.

Adjusted brightness for early hours when the weather is set to few clouds. ( it was too bright in VR)
Also adjusted the lightning to be a little bit. Let me know how you like it compared to base pure (purevr)

Adjusted a few cloud brightness. Adjusted the contrast to have a more punchy look. Disabled new ambient light v2 that will be introduced in the new Pure. I have spent hours trying to make it look good for me but I just couldn't so sticking with the good old ambient settings. I had adjusted and set ambient lights to be dynamic for low sun angles ( early and late times and for bad weather) so I believe the filter will be just fine as is

Not sure what happened but buildings (on SRP) were too dark so I fixed it.
I had to adjust the brightness a little bit because sometimes headlights just completely blow out details on white cars and in VR even the sun's reflection sometimes was too much on buildings. See the picture of what was changed.
I tried to keep the brightness as high as possible without having that issue. There is a fine line between having superb brightness and blown out details in certain scenarios. From day 1 my vision for this filter was to create something that works all around since back in the days most of the filters only looked good just in daytime or nighttime. Forget about sunsets. lol. Most of the filters become better now but the bottom line is that the difference is in the small details.

BrokenClouds brightness was wrong. Also adjusted a couple more things. Nothing major but I recommend downloading this updated version.

I have reworked the brightness of the skydomes for all weather types separately for day, sunset / sunrise, and night time.
Made VR a little bit brighter at very early and late hours when the sun was just below the horizon. It was way too dark.
Also updated the sunblinding a little. Pictures do not tell you the whole story. With the sunblinding effect in IV PureCS there are several things that change dynamically when the sun is in the camera. This works in both screen and VR mode. When you look at the sun the shadows, and everything facing away from the sun become darker until you look away. Also tried to imitate that your eyes get used to the sun when you face it, so the blinding effect dials down slowly and the sun is a little bit more visible.

The biggest update is the new look of the sun and godrays (sunblinding).
With this update when sun is in front of you ( in the camera) initially, the sun will be fairly bright but in a few seconds, it will tone down a bit, imitating your eyes getting used to it. This makes some stuff darker but will brighten back up as soon as you turn away from the sun. Pretty cool effect but I tried to keep this to a minimum. Found it a little too much when I made the changes too drastic. Plus it looks too dark and bad when you take pictures of it and compare it to other filters while in motion- in the game it's a cool effect and better than filters without sunblinding effect.
With the newest CSP release, there were a couple of things that changed to I had to fix some values. I tested it on Pure 2.05 ( besides the unreleased dev version) so it should work nicely. Remember: INSTALL IS MANUALLY!

My sincere apologies for so many updates. I know everyone dislikes too frequent updates but unlike other filters this is made for screen and VR and i missed something. The same values for screen and vr users did not work out well when it comes to the dynamic godrays so this needed a quick fix. Let me know if you have any issues. Again, I am sorry.

Hey everyone.
• I have fixed some values. Early mornings shouldn't be as dark anymore. Brightened up bad weather a little bit.
• Added a couple of new things, like dynamic godrays which get brighter the lower the sun angle is. This can be turned off under pp tab in pure config.
• Adjusted the bloom in the last update but in this one I ended up adding a new slider so yall can just adjust it to your liking.
• I cleaned up the pp tab. All comments ( of what the custom sliders do) will only show up when you hover over the sliders.
• Changed the AE method for flat screen players. I hope it works out well.
• Stopped encrypting the lua file because it wasn't compatible with pure lower than 205

You might need to reset the sliders under PP tab because some values have changed.

My apologies. Originally I used a code that dynamically changed the reflection level depending on the "badness" of the weather. Unfortunately, this only fixed the glowing road during heavy thunderstorms and heavy rain. Thanks to txgarden who brought it to my attention so now fixed and works for all weather!

Also, the initial night time brightness for VR was too low. You might have fixed this before using the custom sliders but I wanted to change this for those who have never used this filter.

Thank yall.

Mistakes sometimes happen. I changed something when added the minimum daylight brightness last time. With this update, I fixed the issue and also added a slider to easily adjust the display brightness on the go. Look it up under the pp tab. Also moved minimum daylight brightness to the top. I believe it would be better to change this first before messing with overall daylight brightness. This way you can dial back some brightness from the buildings and the road instead of messing with the whole picture. Minimum daylight brightness also barely changes the sky brightness so it's definitely better to start out with when adjusting the image. Enjoy!

Hey everyone. I highly recommend you don't skip this version.
Small update but an important one. I adjusted the cloud brightness for daytime, so some clouds won't look as dark. I did make OverCast clouds darker to give it more depth. Originally the overcast clouds were just a super bright white sky. Now you can see more details of the clouds. Not a huge difference but to me the original look was unrealistic.
Also adjusted some values to make buildings and roads a little bit brighter. Also added an advanced daylight brightness slider so you all could further tweak this setting for individual tastes. Enjoy. If I missed something or you find any issues or bugs please let me know.
