thx 4 ur time, honestly i found the original steering more difficult and more natural with more challenge. i can`t see or feel any change about grip or traction, i just get too more oversteer with ur mod and i could record times better than original with default setups :| yes u are right, driving style makes differences !

Yes, you are right there is just removed steering assist in versio 1. But Im working on 1.1 where it will be more difficult to drive. Thanks for your feedback! :)

Must have mod for F1 2014, definitely recommend Sunday drivers for 360 controllers, advanced is undrivable without a wheel. Would be awesome if you could apply the same direct input steering to other Codies games like dirt 3 and F1 2013 as well. would be much appreciated! having that anti-understeer assist is so annoying.

glad to hear you liked :). I'm currently retired from F1 and other driving games. Althought I made DIY racing wheel, exactly like Rosberg's wheel and the outcome was pretty good. But yes the F1 2013 and grid has own downsides but they do have their highlights too: for example grid has much more "deeper" gameplay. Physics, crashed, damage, etc. If I'm not totally wrong you could see other drivers too in replay? Or is this just may imagine? lul what's wrong with codemasters? My only hope is that the F1 2015 won't be bad made pc port nor awful pad controlling. And many... many other things pre- and postrace lap, pit lane, engineering voice, physics, damage, physics, did I mention physics?

Mate, this mod has what I've been looking for since I bought this game. The steering assist on pas was so bad I was not able to keep up with Legend AI on a Toro Rosso. Now I'm getting pole by 1 sec on a Caterham. Steering feels amazing, I can take all those high speed corners with so much confidence now!

Now that teams are balanced the game is that much better. I was starting to wonder why my times remained the same when changing from Caterham to McLaren. Best mod 2014, hands down.

hi there thank for this mode..i am wheel user so i can feel the diffrent..but i have a problem to keep a straight line so i put my steering linearity to 17% so i can keep straight :P..anyway nice mods glad u make it...

Well it is great improve using your mod (2-3s) cause the steering is responsive and stable. However when I try F1 2013 again I found that I enjoy 13 more because it's steering is much more responsive and easy for us Sunday drivers. Could u make another mod which is much like 13's feeling because in fact the downforce in 2014 is 20% lower than 13 which leads to more oversteer. Many thx!!! Keep going in your school work!!!

G27 user here, I think it's a nice thought and those who are really good , beating legend with 1min duh it would be perfect. As I tried the mod I understood I needed to unlearn all I had learned. As the car over or understeered to the degree that I was 180degrees off track. I like the increased accel. Though not to have to relearn all tracks and replace all setups which actually do have effects even though this thread claims otherwise. Thumbs up for effort and a really hard adventure that I'm sure some wheel users will love. I will try to stick finding something here that will stop the AI from starting their career with all their R&D ready at 1th race, and something that gives wheel users same amount of grip as pad users. I'm giving it a 3 because its made the experience somewhat worst for me :( Sorry buddy, but I'm not entirely sure if its improved or downgraded the experience for me because I tend to find it more difficult using this mod. I thought it would improve the steering, but instead its made it very very difficult for me to speed through corners in which looks easy on videos above. I keep spinning out because the steering is far too sensitive by using a Playstation 3 controller - which I always use. Is there any way for me to fix this?

I would say you don't play racing games alot? It requires skill to drive fast... THIS MOD REMOVES THE EASINESS OF DRIVING! and gives more keys for the driver.
But I don't know you nor your driving skill so let me tell something about my f1 "career"...

Well the Ps3 controller isnt the best controller for racing, since the throttle is well there is just button for throttle (on/ off). Only contrller which is good for racing games is controller which has actually trigger throttle, like xbox 360, and ps4 and xbox one. But I don't think that the problem is on your controler since it's possible to drive full throttle all the time with good pace. So I would say that you have to practice more to become good driver. I remember mine first races back in 2005. I was kid and driving was some what hard back then. Althought when I first time played the game, but playing more and more I get better and better, I was pretty hard core driver back them. That happened in Ps2.
But now with "new consoles" xbox 360, I started playing 2010 and I was sooooo bad when I started. But just before 2012 release, I was damn beast in most tracks. Mainly Australia, well thats the first race in season and you know... restart ->
I played 2012 alot and after ~ 50- 100 hours my bro said turn off those assists and I did. In first I was bad driver, but when I released how to drive. Since then driving has been easy as cake. I created cockpit, bought wheel and pedals + F1 2013 when it released and I was bad. But more I drove more I won.

And Codemasters has been always made games which are fool proof for "bad" drivers who uses pad. Basicly pad users has no worries what kind of corner is coming.

It's not sorry, since the online matches uses "hidden" files. And those files are for singplaying.
