DEF - Detailed Exhaust Flamethrower 1.002

In a search for a better looking flame

  1. Gabriel Wong
This is a alteration of Danny's Overkill Flame Mod: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/dannys-overkill-flame-mod.9835/

This is a result of making changes to the texture and alpha channels of the flames from the overkill flame mod, to try to make them look more realistic.

It should work with mods that have updated to the newer exhaust system in 1.5
Note that it will only work on cars that already spits fire, it does not add fire to cars that normally has no backfire.

Permission is granted by original author to release my altered textures.

What can I say... except that the McLaren 650 doesn't seem to receive them for some strange reason; not because of the author's fault of course.

Hmm weird xD. It might not be using the same system as the other cars perhaps. I won't be able to check it out though, I do not own Dream Pack 3.

Looks awesome, however I followed the instructions and the texture are not changing. Is there some way I can replace them manually. The install.bat isn't doing anything for me.

It doesn't seem to work when directory has spaces in it xD
To do it manually though, copy the texture folder in flames_mod\mod to cars you want to have the flame texture. Kinda tedious though. Lemme see if I can do something about the script, might be a command prompt command limitation though.

Good work mate but i have a question: If i dont have pp filters on i can still see the flames ?

Yep, definitely, the filters will only affect the bloom and lens flare effects from the flame itself, actual detail is unaffected.
