The Wheel Size Calculator is a user-friendly tool designed to calculate the overall radius of a car wheel based on the tire dimensions provided by the user. This tool is particularly useful for Asseto Corsa and ouputs the text ready to be pasted into your tyres data file. i.e.
WIDTH=245.0
RIM RADIUS=0.254
RADIUS=0.4491
How to use the Wheel Size Calculator:
WIDTH=245.0
RIM RADIUS=0.254
RADIUS=0.4491
How to use the Wheel Size Calculator:
- Input Tire Dimensions: Upon launching the application, you will see three input fields: Width, Aspect, and Radius. Enter the respective values for your tire. These values are usually imprinted on the side of your tire. For example, if your tire size is '245/45 R18', 245 is the Width (in mm), 45 is the Aspect ratio (the height of the tire's cross-section to its width), and 18 is the Radius (in inches).
- Calculate: After entering the values, click on the 'Calculate' button. If any of the fields are left empty, the 'Calculate' button will remain disabled.
- View Results: The calculated values for the Rim Radius and Overall Radius of the wheel will be displayed in the 'Output' section of the application. The Rim Radius is calculated as half of the wheel diameter plus one inch (converted to meters), and the Overall Radius is calculated using the provided tire dimensions.
