Here it is: The Trans-Am Skin Mega-Pack! Inside you'll find 115 skins for the ACL Trans-Am Mod, covering the 1969-1972 Trans-Am seasons.
94 of these skins are my originals, while the rest are from the ACL T/A mod itself (these were made by SBH, Ned, and Highbank). I have repackaged them here, as I changed the folder names of the skins to make them easier to find when creating grids., and I wanted to keep that consistent. The folder structure is already set up by-model, so it should be a simple drag-and-drop installation.
Each skin's folder is titled with the years ran, car number, and driver's last name. This ensures there's no doubt as to which paint schemes to use when recreating a specific grid.
I can't count how many hours of research went into making these skins. Every time I thought I was done, I'd find new photos and more angles of cars I didn't have previously. I put much effort into matching number/letter fonts as close to reality as possible, as well as color-matching from reference photos and paint codes from the relevant model years. I did everything I could to give this series the respect it deserves.
Speaking of respect, here are the credits for the ACL T/A mod. Thank these folks for making Assetto Corsa the best vintage Trans-Am sim:
– Conversions/ 3d Modelling: Donnie Heerdt (SmallBlock Hero), Mick Nesevitch, Uncle M
– Physics: Bazza von Dutch
– Sounds: stock Kunos and various unknown sources.
– Skins by SBH, Ned, Highbank
Of course, 115 skins doesn't account for ALL cars ran in the Trans-Am series. I will most likely be updating this post in the future with even more skins, so be on the lookout for those. Also, if we ever get a Pontiac Tempest or older Plymouth Barracuda, I'll be sure to make skins for those.
Well, what are you waiting for? Get out there and race with the best of the Trans-Am series!
