History:
Debut: Jan 1962 Prototype Cobra runs for the first time at Silverstone.
July 1962 The first three "production" Cobras were completed and
shipped to the USA complete with 260 cid engines
Carroll Shelby . . . the name instantly conjures up images of high
performance cars and pure bred racing machines. One of the many
undertakings that brought fame to the "East Texas chicken farmer,"
was the Cobra.
The V8 Ford engines were derived from the ones used in the Fairlane
and Fairlane 500, but they were delivered to Shelby in a somewhat
'tweaked' form. Breathing through a single Holley Carburetor and fitted
with 'hotter' cams, solid tappets and larger ports, the V8 was good for
around 260bhp.
Main diffuculty in incorporating American V8 engines was their rather
high torque figures.
The rear-end needed considerable modifications to handle the torque
produced by the Ford. With the beefed up rear suspension, the AC chassis took to the Ford V8 engine surprisingly well and after extensive tests 100 chassis/bodies and Ford V8s were ordered. Shelby's Cobra was born!

Race Notes:
Please note the suspension settings for Gravel, Mud / Sand and Snow
Should be set to Normal, Tarmac stages should be set between normal
and hard, and circuit stages with smooth surface should be
set to Full Hard.
This is IMPORTANT as suspension has been specifically tuned for each surface.
Installation:
To install this car BZF Manager is required, double click and it will self instal.
It replaces car_18(Alfa Romeo FTC).
please ensure that the Torque Multiplier in the game.ini is changed to 1.0
This can be found in settings/game.ini
If this is not done then the car will travel faster than real life.
