The 905 was Peugeot's debut prototype in the World Sportscar Championship. The 905 debuted in February 1990 and was developed throughout the year. However, it would not make its competitive debut until the final two races of the 1990 World Sportscar Championship season in Mexico and Canada.
The 905 B from Gran Turismo 4 was included as a standard model. Unfortunately, the car had a very basic interior with little to no detail. This car transferred into both GT5 and GT6.

However, Peugeot had a fantastic start to 2024 being just minutes away from a first victory in Qatar before fueling issues saw them painfully retire and the entirety of France let out a big sigh of disbelief. Following on from Qatar, Peugeot would retire its wingless design and a new winged design is due to be debuted at Imola towards the end of April 2024. Peugeot have made it no secret that an overall Le Mans victory is their aim for 2024. With the pace the 9X8 showed in Qatar, that goal could certainly be achievable.
