WATCH: Nordschleife Track Guide With Markus Søholm

One of the most difficult iRacing Special Events is around the corner in the Nürburgring 24 Hours. To help you get ready, Markus Søholm has prepared a Nordschleife track guide.

Over 26 kilometers of track in the 24-hour race configuration, spectacular elevation changes, the ever-looming armco barriers - the Nürburgring-Nordschleife is a challenge like no other, and more so for a race twice around the clock. Sim racers around the world are already looking forward to the Nürburgring 24H taking place from May 17 to 19.

And it is not just iRacing players who are eager to tackle the Nordschleife: The Assetto Corsa Competizione rendition that was recently released also got a lot of sim racers into learning the track - and memorizing the layout is only part of it.

This is where Markus' Nordschleife guide could come in handy. The Danish Apex Racing Academy driver has gained an iRating of over 9,000 (which is not a meme in this case), so it is certain to say that he knows his way around iRacing - and the Nürburgring as well.

His guide includes tips for brake markers, what to watch out for in tricky spots, how to approach certain sections and why some of the Green Hell's corners are even more important to get just right than others.

Nice walkthrough and straight-forward guidance!

Myself looking forward to getting started with this version after having chewed my way through different bids in all sorts of sims over the years (in addition to several real world experiences over the years in different cars not counting in the GP Strecke).

I don't know if it's inappropriate, but the walkthrough below, which is only about the north loop, can also be studied closely, regardless of whether it is in an older model like this or in the latest GT3 race car, and regardless whether you're a newcomer or have thousands of laps in the bag.

Never understood track guides. Just keep driving until you stop crashing into sh!t.

But realistically, unless you have the same car and same setup as the presenter, you probably will become frustrated as to why you can't match their performance. Brake distances and turn-in points are specific to driver ability, car and car setups.
