While I don't have a crystal ball to predict future direct drive (DD) wheel introductions and prices, I don't expect drastic reductions in cost. On the other hand, monitors keep getting better (faster respomse times) and less expensive.

If you have the money now, buy a quality DD wheelbase and a wheel and enjoy them. Triples of the size you want to use will require an RTX 2080 ti and a top level CPU.
