F1 2012 What's wrong with my game?

Hi guys,
I finally decided to give myself a break and play some f1 2012 on the pc!! I must say it is amazing (i used to be a ps3 only sort of person.) however, ive tried racing twice and each time ive gotten to lap 4/5 ive had the game freeze up on me, screen go black and moments later the game has been exited and it says on steam there was an error the app is already running! please elaborate on this for me? its frustrating and im not really tech savy

Try to re-install the game on Steam

verify the game through steam and disable steam cloud

I think the 'app is already running' error is just a generic thing with Steam AFTER the game has crashed for another reason, but the old process hasn't closed yet.

As there are sooooooo many reasons that could cause a PC to crash, it may be hard to nail it down.

Most likely? ..... Probably graphics card or driver related

1/ Update your graphics card driver.

2/ Try varying some graphics settings and try again, like switching VSync on or off (the opposite of what it is currently).

I suspect google maybe your best friend here .....
