what DDS format do you save your skins?

Hi there. I've recently got into skin making in netKar PRO. I'm unfamiliar with the dds format so can anyone tell me which DDS format (DXT1, DXT3, DXT5 etc.) to use when saving the skin in the end? Thank you

First install this for full support of the format inside PS:

Thanks Tomas After some trial and error, I found that I should use the setting you mentioned since it has a good ratio of size to quality.

Can I ask though, how did you make the body2.dds for your skin? Personally, I just applied a 28% opacity black layer (to match a similair shading to your Shelby Cobra skin) over the original skin for body2.dds, is this right or have I done it wrong?

Tariq, I dont know what body2.dds is for.. I just noticed as you that it's darker. I applied a curves layer instead.

My first guess was that the smaller texture is for replays rendering the car in further distance, but then why darker? I dont know but please tell if you find out

I used http://www.imageconverterplus.com/ to convert two dds skins to a psd file.

A skin black because that was the color I wanted to use, but to know where to put the logos I need another in a lighter color, so joined the two in a single file pds, who after returned to convert to a dds file.

Also don't know what body2.dds is for!
