What CPU is needed to play rf2 on max ?

That information would come very handy for me. I am not familiar with cinebench and what measures.
Here you go :)
I have the i7 2600k. I couldn't bother my friends to do more tests than what I got...

I5 3570k:
4.2, 1333: 501
4.4, 1866: 563
I5 4570k:
4.2, 1333: 562
4.4, 1600: 602
4.5, 1600: 612

I7 2600k:
4.2, 1333: 533
4.2, 1600: 553
4.4, 1066: 570
4.4, 1333: 572
4.4, 1600: 582
4.4, 1066 + HT: 737
4.4, 1333 + HT: 738
4.4, 1600 + HT: 754

I5 2500k:
4.5, 2133: 557

Quite interesting to see that 1066 to 1333 doesn't seem to make a difference at all while the jump to 1600 gives a boost of ~20 points.
As you can see though the 2133 mhz Ram doesn't really boost the i5 2500k to some next level. It's still a few points behind the 3570k and only on the same level as a 2600k without HT, 300mhz less clock and slower RAM.

Don't investigate into faster RAM. Only when your current RAM dies or when you can get it really really cheap. Otherwise saving up for a new CPU will give you way more!

btw since all the current sims are still heavily limited by the single thread performance, the latest i3's are pretty awesome!

That information would come very handy for me. I am not familiar with cinebench and what measures. At least with Heaven and Valley I did not see quiet a difference because those mainly measure raw GPU. My results comes from AC benchmark and a custom test I do with a replay I have, where there is a jump from 52 to 62 on minimum fps.

AC bench results
AC VERSION: 1.16.3 (x64)
POINTS: 21739
FPS: AVG=148 MIN=16 MAX=182 VARIANCE=9 CPU=86%
RAM 1066mhz

AC VERSION: 1.16.3 (x64)
POINTS: 26714
FPS: AVG=182 MIN=25 MAX=222 VARIANCE=9 CPU=85%
RAM 1600mhz

I know this is an rFactor forum. But I think this info can be handy. At least shows memory can be a bottleneck too.

Update

AC VERSION: 1.16.3 (x64)
