Thrustmaster TRJ12 USB Adapter alternative?

Hi! It seems that the Thrustmaster TRJ12 USB Adapter is in short supply. Can anyone tell me if an ethernet to USB adapter can be used in place of the TRJ12 USB Adapter. Thanks in advance!

No.
First of all, the Thrustmaster plug looks a bit like an ethernet cable, but that's all they have in common. (Also, the latch is offset instead of centered.)

The contacts connect to GND, +3.3V and 0..3.3V for each pedal.

It should be possible to connect these to an Arduino or similar to emulate Joystick axes, but don't ask me for schemes.

You can do it with an Arduino Pro Micro. I've not done it myself but I have fiddled with an Arduino to get it to work with buttons to the PC.

You could also pay the going rate on Ebay for an adapter but they are going for about £50 I think.

Not sure what Thrustmaster are up to other than perhaps they are trying to get people to buy their T-LCM's?
