STOCK CAR 2025 - SUV based models

Stock Car Brazil is going to introduce SUV based models for the 2025 season. This is a huge change for the series, which has been using V8 sedans since 2009.

What do you think?

Runnig now with Toyota and Chevrolet (GM).
2025 will also be the debut of the still unknown 2 more brands.
Hyundai and Peugeot maybe?

I don't like SUVs but the cars look good indeed.
Marketing wise is a very good opportunity for more investiments.

Hope Automobilista 2 gets updated with the new models.

I'm totally ok with this, I've seen comments relating to this about SUVs not being exciting and that nobody wants to watch them race but there wasn't exactly anything exciting about Toyota Carinas or Honda Accords but they made pretty cool race cars in the 90s.

One of the things that would always get said about touring cars was how they appealed because they were looked like what your average person had on their driveway. Popularity of saloons has plummeted over the last couple of decades and this move makes total sense, I wouldn't be surprised to see BTCC open up to these sort of cars in the future.
