Sim Rig DIY question

SO I have a GT Omega Classic wheel stand which is great but as it folds it is a little wobbly sometimes and as I am planning on getting a rear frame/seat to make it a full permanent cockpit I want to add some vertical braces to add rigidity.

I kinda know what I want, some square tube with an attachment top and bottom to bolt it to the stand. Trouble is I have no idea what I am looking for, probably something from a hardware or building supplier store but I dont even know where to start looking so if someone has an idea what i can use please let me know.

Hi Chugster2204,

I have the ART Simulator Cockpit, i'ts not bad, but would need a lot of modification to make it stiff/sturdy enough to make a decent cockpit. If I had to start again (and I am), I would put my money towards some 40/40 type profile, and build a cockpit from there.
