Saab (merged)

I did find this rather amusing when I saw it...

this year's production: 18 cars
next year's production: 93,018 cars

:D

The next SAAB?

This is great news, now a legendary car manufacturer is saved! Thumbs for Mr von Konigsegg

From what I've heard from a few Swedish friends, it's a Columbian and an American putting the money up. Apparently Konigsegg is being used more like a front than anything solid. Selling it this way ensures some EU financing, right now they have signed an intent to but contract so now they have to prove they have the money. All sounds a bit shady to me, I hope Konigsegg don't get caught in the fallout if this all goes wrong, be a shame to lose such an adventerous car company.

It seems that Russian banker Antonov wants to move large parts of the Saab production from Sweden to Latvia when he is allowed to invest his 100,000,000E in Saab.

Nice way to ruin another domestic company if you ask me.

Does anybody know the latest status of this company? Don't think Victor Müller has a lot of friends left in Sweden.

Would be a nightmare if such an iconic brand would go belly up.
