rFactor 2: Cupra e BTCC 2023 Content Drop

As already announced a few days ago, this week opens with a new content drop for rFactor 2: Studio 397 has in fact released the Cupra Leon, thus completing the grid for the 2023 BTCC season.


The car is available both for standalone purchase on Steam at the price of €4.99 and as part of two packs, the BTCC Car Pack (€19.99) which contains all the cars of the British championship and the BTCC Pack (29 99€), which contains not only the aforementioned cars but also the circuits of Brands Hatch, Thruxton, Donington Park and Croft.


Today's content drop also includes the release of all the official liveries of the BTCC 2023 season, which will be free for all those who already own the cars.

For anyone not versed in MAS2 here is rfmod of BTCC 2021-2023 seasons.
You need all DLC BTCC cars, DLC BTCC tracks and 3rd party tracks including the latest Silverstone which fixes a few errors.

Copy rfmod to Drive:\STEAM\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Packages.
Open rF2 to install or use Mod Manager.

Only track layouts used in BTCC are available.

For race select your car and year.
click on edit settings, under opponent filter select the corresponding year.
BTCC 2020 Season : select 22 AI (recommended) or less
BTCC 2021 Season : select 33 AI (recommended) or less
BTCC 2022 Season select 32 AI*** (recommended) or less
BTCC 2023 Season: select 26 AI (recommended) or less

*** If you run 2022 Season full grid:
You will have 2 #48 and 2 #77 2022 Ford Focus
Start session, click on live timing.
Get drivers names of 2 Focus skins you want to remove.
Click on session controls.
Under Drivers in Session click on the driver name you want to remove, click boot driver, repeat.
This will leave you with 31 car field.

The #48 #77 NASCAR racing livery were for the 2022 Brands Hatch GP.

Yes, thank you...and as Block said more tips and discussion will help people enjoy this sim. The Studio 397 forums seem pretty dead and as a newish user, I find it hard to ferret out the info on RF2.
I just bought the i30 N to check out the BTCC cars and its very good. I like the RRE FWD cars, but this has the nice RF2 feel. Great fun at Knockhill and with the 3 seasons of liveries, I get a good sized field of just Hyundai's!

You CAN race against all the other BTCC cars you do not own, You just have to install them in the Store menu of the sim.(not in Steam) If you look at the Store tab, you will see your Hyundai with a green checkmark, and then if you scroll down the list of cars, you should see many that have an red X instead of the Green check your Hyundai has. Click on the BTCC ones and they will be partially installed, you should see an Orange colored Checkmark. This means you can race against them but not drive them. Only cars with the green check are available to drive.

This is more great information that i wasn't aware of. There is so much to learn about RFactor 2. I have had the sim virtually since it was released but barely played it due to all the messing about to get things to work.

New BTCC rfmod

If you download the BTCC 2020 skin pack from workshop it will corrupt BTCC.rfmod.

Download BTCC 2020, run rFactor 2 and install the pending update.

Open Mod Manager and uninstall BTCC.rfmod and delete it.

Download BTCC 2020-2033.
