Rename car/livery?

Is there a simple way for me to rename a car/skin combination so it is clear what it is when using the "add ai" feature in race? I have tons of content, but it's not always clear from the name what it is. I would like to rename everything with the convention manufacturer/car/livery, but can't see any way to do it in game.

Knowing rfactor2, it will be bloody complicated!

No I do not think so. Once you start messing with the naming, then you will break the skin and it will appear all white. Best way to achieve what you want is to identify all the cars in advance, writing them down so when you boot and add AI, you will know which is which.
You could try using devmode and making a vmod with just the cars and tracks you want, then you won't have to boot and add ai.
