RBR download version

Hi

Was thinking of getting the download version of RBR from here : http://uk.gamesplanet.com/buy-download-pc-games/Richard-Burns-Rally-235-39.html

Will this version take the RSRBR2012 mod ?

Someone asked some questions about it a week or so ago, check a few posts below. Seems to work fine. I'd expect it to.

Paul, I'm not aware of anyone who has tried it yet, but there is no reason why it wouldn't be ok. RSRBR2012 just adds new content to any existing RBR install.

Just make sure to follow all the guidelines for installing RSRBR2012, especially regarding where to install (or more correctly where not to install) the original RBR.

About those instructions: I believe that the order is wrong. The Track Pack is dated to December and hasn't been updated since. So the stages should be installed right after the main RSRBR2012 component, and not after all the updates. I mean, anyone who switched to 2012 version at the end of last year surely didn't install mandatory updates before the track pack, did they?

Ok, I'll update the Tutorial after the release of Update 07.
I was always of the belief that it didn't really matter when you install the track pack, but it does seem safer to install the Updates last, just in case it includes a change to a track.
