Problem with G25 wheel profile

I alway have a problem when I go to controls, I use the g25 steering wheel and as u know there are a few standard profiles already in the control options menu, g25,g25stick shift, g25 paddle shift. So whats my problem al the controls for ex gear up = joypad 1 gear down= joypad 1 but when i want to use the H pattern shift there are always two gears I think 2nd and 3th that are pointing to joypad 2 so i cant use the profiles i have always to make a custom profile. My steering wheel is the only controler connected to my pc and keybord but thats normal I think. Making a custom prof gives me no problem. Anybody idea?

When you make a custom profile based on the G25, set your shifter to H-pattern and assign new keys for the gears.

Click 1st gear and move your shifter towards the first gear position, go to 2nd etc etc until you have completed all the 6 gear positions.

Should work after that.
