Prevent autoplay in promo video

Is there a way to prevent the promo video at the top of right column from always start playing at each and every page load?
I honestly find it increadibly annoying: I don't need to see it every single time, nor I want it to follow me at the bottom of the page and it also is just a wast of bandwidth.
On PC I ended up hiding it with a third party plugin that just makes that are black.

It's a videoplayer that contains video ads which are needed to fund the platform. If you don't wish to see banner or video ads you can choose to upgrade to premium and they will be all gone + you get access to the all the perks as well.

Hi Bram, thanks for the reply. I thought it was a "self promoting" video, not ads related, that's why I asked.
