Powerstrip with GSCE?

I use a utility called powerstrip to adjust the light when in a game. It works with all racing programs I have including the original GSC and the 2012 update. When trying the demo for GSCE I can't get it to work.

Would this be due to it being a demo or would something like this no longer work?
