Possible to change the FOV in mirrors?

Topic says it all. Is it possible to change the FOV of the mirror? I'm speaking of the real mirrors and not the virtual once.
I feel that when I got a car in my mirror it looks like he's right on my tail but when I look behind me he can be 100 meters behind.
