Not a question, just a comment. I gotta say overtaking is awesome. ive been five seconds down on webber twice now and pushed hard to close the gap and we you finally get on his gearbox you gotta stay calm and know the track and where you can pass. its really an amazing feeling to overtake someone.

I dont think this game gives as much of a slipstream effect as good/realistic as what it should be. To be honest when you close behind another car the toe feels non-exsistant...

You dont feel the slipstream?? Get behind any car on a long straight like in China or Turkey, and just watch as you blatantly drive past the car and max out your gear 7 before breaking.

If anything the slipstreams dont work for the AI, for the actual player though the slipstream is just right.

Overtaking can be pretty satisfying after you have quite a long wheel to wheel battle with someone over a few corners, but in most cases the AI are numpties and try to overtake in ridiculous places where there is just no room to pass. This inevitabley results in me gettting a warning for causing a collision!

That's why I'd recommend the 40 flashbacks mod - for use when the AI gives you idiotic penalties for that and blue flags. The amount of times I've moved over and the fool just stays behind me!

Overtaking

Yes to the Original post.
espescially if you have taken say 2 laps to get on his gear box and then pull of a fair overtake for the lead in the race. thats real racing and feels great.
