I am trying to create an s-object to make interlocking barriers used at kart tracks, the only problem is I cannot get the last and first to overlap each other like I want them to and there is a large gap inbetween them, is there a solution for this or am i going to have to place the object manually

I have the same problem. If the space before and after it is accepted as negative values could solve. Maybe next version.

Maybe each block object could contain the start of the next block, so each object would look something like this:

You'd also have another object where the red and white are swapped.

edit: Hang on, have you tried using a negative 'offset'?

I think the calculations should eliminate the negative values.
    R. Soul: your idea works but the point of rotation and the union will no longer be the correct
