New T300RS feels weird... am I being paranoid?

Just replaced my old T300 with a new T300RS and not sure what they changed but it feels better than the one I bought 5 years ago... except for one thing. I get this weird single jab of FFB under certain conditions, and I'm not sure if it's a new FFB feature I'm not used to or some kind of problem. My sim is Assetto Corsa btw. These are the two conditions:

1) passing over the center point of the wheel

2) while lifting throttle and I have steering angle input, if I move the wheel in the opposite direction (back to center) I get that little weird wobble feeling. Not sure if its FFB letting me know my front tired changed their load - or if its just a flawed wheel.

Would really appreciate input from anyone with a T300RS

Edit: Should mention its the most noitceable in road cars, such as the GT-86 with street tires on.
