New Simucube 2 Pro bricked after firmware update on very 1st launch

Does anyone know how to solve “Drive firmware update error. Turn system off and on again.” on a Simucube 2 Pro?

After downloading the True Drive software and running it for the first time, a firmware upgrade started. All seemed to be going fine, but at the end the software just quit without any error. I re-launched it and now I get “Drive firmware update error. Turn system off and on again.” at the top of the page. I am unable to do anything with it.

I was so excited to try out my first Direct Drive wheel. Now all I can do is look at it and sigh.

Good news.... I found out how to perform a downgrade to a lower version of firmware and it went without a hitch.

Which version was that. I have just updated to 2021.4 that fixes issues introduced in 2021.1, no problems so far.

Saw your post on GD. If 2021.4 doesn't work for you, rollback to 2020.10, 2021.1 is really bad one, they should have removed it from downloads completely.
